Abstract
Mumbai, India, is easily accessible from Pakistan across the Arabian Sea. Many business people and visitors from other countries also make the city their home base. South Mumbai was in disarray on the morning of November 27th, 2008, after several people had been killed and hundreds injured in a series of coordinated strikes the day before. During the night, an attack was made against the exclusive society and the foreigners living among them. The deadly act severely undermined the ongoing attempts to improve relations between India and Pakistan. The Indian government spoke out against Pakistan's terror plans and painted Islamabad as the country's nerve core. The Indian government has said that Lashkar-eTayba is responsible for the attacks on Indian citizens. The trust deficit between the two states, brought up by the violent approach, is often seen as the most pressing issue currently afflicting ties between India and Pakistan.
