WOMEN PERSPECTIVE AND UNIVERSAL DECLARATION OF HUMAN RIGHTS: A STUDY ON JOB SATISFACTION OF FEMALE LIBRARIANS IN KARACHI

Abstract

The study examines women perspective and Universal Declaration of Human Rights on female librarian’s job satisfaction. The main purpose of this study is to cover the factors such as discrepancy in the wages of women librarians, and gender discrimination, dissatisfaction is found in female librarians due to discrepancy in wages among the employees. Factors such as gender discrimination affect employee performance in the work place. In this research, qualitative methods of research have been used. In-depth study has been done through the method of observation and case study. Research results show that job satisfaction is a major issue for female librarians. Institutions need to pay attention to these important issues of women librarians. This will increase their efficiency and enable them to make progress.
